This will provide an understanding of Geo-informatics with special emphasis on Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing (GIS & RS). This is an advanced computer technology based discipline that would help to understand complex environmental, socio-economic situation of the ground. GIS and RS technology has therequired potential to manage natural resources and support to solve many problems existing in the socio-economic spheres particularly in Sri Lanka.
