Universal College Lanka - UCL International Foundation

The UCL International Foundation Year (UIFY) is a one-year pre-university qualification which is ideally suitable for students who would like to enroll in an undergraduate level programme early. UIFY provides the pathway for students after O/Levels to develop the skills and knowledge required to commence their undergraduate studies in selected disciplines. Upon successful completion of the UIFY students can directly enter into Year 1 of a degree programme. Students who have done A/Levels but would like to improve their knowledge in preparation for a university degree may also enroll for this foundation year.

UCL International Foundation year is awarded by the NCC Education UK, a global awarding body well established all around the world in more than 50 countries with more than 200 branches.  

Admission Requirements

Students must meet the following entry requirements:

• Completed their GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels with minimum grades of ‘C’, ‘5’ or equivalent in each. These should include Mathematics and English.
• Should have a valid score of 4.5 or above in IELTS examination or equivalent for students whose first language is not English.

Alternatively, students can take the free NCC Education Standard English Placement Test (EPT).
