About Shafra Izzadeen
I am currently pursuing a Special degree in zoology at the Open University of Sri Lanka,alongside with my studies I also work as an online tutor at recognized institutions where I teach science to secondary and Advanced Level students. Teaching and learning science has been my passion for over eight years. Through my experience, I have explored why some students naturally engage with learning while others require motivation and guidance. As an educator and mentor, I even focused my behavioral study research on understanding students’ capability in studying. Based on this research and years of practical experience, I have designed personalized strategies and techniques that adapt to each student’s unique learning style—helping them understand complex concepts, improve memory retention, and build focused study routines. Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing my students implement these strategies, achieve higher marks, and grow more confident in their abilities. I consider myself a true science enthusiast, as I believe that every moment spent learning and teaching science is an investment in nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and ultimately, wisdom.
