Refresher and Updating for Proficiency in Medical First Aid

Overview

The course aims to refresh & update knowledge of candidates who has already completed the Proficiency in medical first aid course in accordance with STCW regulation VI/4.

Intake Limitations

Maximum 24 students per course.

Academic Faculty

Our training will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers and instructors with qualifications as specified in MSN 03/2022 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements

This refresher and updating course is open to all seafarers who hold the certificate of proficiency in Medical First Aid and having approved minimum total seagoing service of 3 months during the preceding 5 years.

All trainees must be certified by a doctor to be in good health and have valid medical certificate issued in accordance with provisions of STCW Reg.I/9 and section A-I/9.
