Fishing Vessel Skipper (NVQ 4)

Fishing vessel skippers are responsible for maneuvering fishing boats and responsible for ensuring safe navigating and organizing and managing the crew for fishing operations. This course will provide competency to meet the requirements to work as a fishing vessels skipper and the certificate will be fulfilled the mandatory requirement of obtaining skipper license by the department of fisheries and aquatic resources.

This course is carried out under the accreditation of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and conducted in line with the National Competency Standards (NCS).

After completing the course, you will be able to find a job as a Skipper in fishing vessels in the national and international job market.
