National Institute of Social Development - Certificate in Counselling

The certificate course in counselling focuses on skills development of Para- professionals in promoting mental health and well -being in Sri Lanka. It is designed in keeping with qualification framework advocated by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council of UGC in Sri Lanka.

Aim

To produce professionals and Para - professionals in counselling and social welfare with the required knowledge, skills and attitude for best practice at community levels.


Objectives

  • To produce quality para- professionals in Counselling
  • To enhance the para-professional skills of the service providers
  • To develop the ability to such officers and service providers to facilitate referral service

Duration - 6 months (15 credits) on week days or weekends
