The UCL International Foundation Year (UIFY) is a one-year pre-university qualification which is ideally suitable for students who would like to enroll in an undergraduate level programme early. UIFY provides the pathway for students after O/Levels to develop the skills and knowledge required to commence their undergraduate studies in selected disciplines. Upon successful completion of the UIFY students can directly enter into Year 1 of a degree programme. Students who have done A/Levels but would like to improve their knowledge in preparation for a university degree may also enroll for this foundation year.
The programme emphasizes development of students’ core competencies in English Language & Communication skills with a focus on preparing students for higher studies and specialized modules in Computing and Business; therefore providing students with the opportunity to proceed towards undergraduate studies.
To complete the qualification, students must study and pass eight (8) modules, which includes six (6) compulsory modules and two (2) elective modules in either Computing or Business streams.

Group class delivery mode, with lectures, discussions and tutorial sessions. The 8 modules are split across 2 semesters.
The modules are assessed by either examination or coursework assignments.
Upon successful completion of the programme students may enter the 1st year of the following UCLan degree programmes offered at UCL or transfer credits to other UK, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, USA universities*.
