Anyone with a strong desire to help people is encouraged to enroll in this training program, but nursing assistants who work directly with the sick, elderly, and disabled are the target audience. The course modules primarily focus on building a strong, professional, and positive relationship with the clients by making sure they are comfortable and have peace of mind. This course is offered both full-time and part-time.

The successful trainees are awarded the NVQ level 3 certificate by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka (TVEC). NVQ is an internationally recognized qualification, which will assist the trainees to obtain employment abroad, particularly in countries such as Japan , Israel and western countries.

Full-time Programme

Duration - 3 months
Lectures - Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (including practical – physical classes)
Requirement - Enrollment after O/Ls up to the age of 50 years
On the Job Training - 6 months
Medium : English & Bilingual
Mode of Learning : Hybrid

Part-time Programme

Duration - 6 months
Lectures - Saturday and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. (Conducted Online)
Practical - After completion of the online lessons, practical will be on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (physical attendance required)
Requirement - Enrollment after O/Ls up to the age of 50 years
On the job Training - 6 months
Medium : English & Bilingual
Mode of Learning : Hybrid

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

• Age = 18-50 is preferred.

• Successful at G.C.E. (O/L) with a pass in English language.
