Objective

Korean is a language approximately spoken by 80 million people as their first language. When looking at the growing economy, cultural spread, the number of Korean learners worldwide, and how technologically advanced South Koreans are. The economy of South Korea is booming at a steady pace; as of 2023, the country is among the world’s top 15 economies and the sixth-largest exporter. Today, their international ties, import-export, and investments stretch to almost all the big countries. Approximately six million Korean speakers live in the USA, China, and Japan. And these three are some of the biggest business partners of South Korea. So, learning Korean might be handy when trying to up your game in these territories.

Why should you take the EPS TOPIK Exam?

EPS-TOPIK stands for Employment Permit System - Test of Proficiency in the Korean language officially lets non-native Korean speakers who wish to work in South Korea including manufacturing, agriculture, and construction. The EPS-TOPIK exam is administered by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) on behalf of the Korean government.

The exam score is a criterion for selecting workers for the Employment Permit System (EPS), which is a government program that manages the employment of foreign workers in South Korea.

The exam consists of two sections: listening and reading, and assessing the Korean language proficiency of the test-taker. The exam is offered in a multiple-choice format and is divided into four levels based on difficulty, with level 1 being the easiest and level 4 being the most difficult.

Qualifications for EPS TOPIK Exam

  • The Age of 18 – 39
  • Must Have Not Been Convicted by a Court of Law and Have Not Been Sentenced to Fines, Imprisonment, or Serious Punishment.
  • Must Not Be Repatriated or Expelled from the Republic of Korea.
  • Must Not Be a Person Who Has Been Banned from Leaving the Country.
  • Must Not Be Color Blind or Color Impaired.
  • People with Spinal Cord Injuries or Missing or Amputated Fingers are Eligible to Appear for the Exam but Will Not Pass the Exam.
  • Those Who Have Not Worked in South Korea for More Than 05 Years, Including the Service Period Under Both the E-9 Visa Category and E-10 Visa Category.
