Child and Adolescent Psychology is a specialty in applied psychology that uses a broad range of techniques to support and guide children and teenagers improve their well-being, academic performance, prevent and alleviate distress caused by negative childhood experiences, emotional distress due to family conflicts and maladjustment, resolve crises, and increase their ability to function better in their future
Child and Adolescent psychologists support cognitive, social and moral development and functioning across childhood and are equipped to provide therapeutic support in learning difficulties, behavioral problems and emotional issues.
Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychology is a program designed to provide individuals with knowledge and skills required to better understand behaviors and thinking patterns of children and adolescents in order to support them in various issues and in different contexts.
During the program students will be introduced to normal development in cognitive, social and moral aspects from early childhood to adolescence. Program will also discuss the common psychological conditions that affect their learning, social interaction, cognitive development, gender identity and self-control.
As opposed to traditional child psychology programs this will approach the concepts from an applied aspect and discuss issues during teenage that are often overlooked.

Students who wish to improve their practitioner skills by obtaining a supervised training and/or placement may benefit from the supervised training programs provoded by CIRP life center, CIRP’s own psychotherapy and counseling center.
Assessments are designed to ensure that the students have achieved the required learning outcomes. Students are provided opportunity to take a range of assessments that will empower students to face the various different challenges and demands of their work life upon graduation including written examinations, essays and assignments submitted online, individual and group presentations, social media projects, mini research projects.
