Our MSc Management and Global Supply Chain Management course is a unique course for those considering a career within logistics, operations and supply chain management. You’ll explore the management of operations at a strategic level, before developing your understanding of the global supply chain and how organisations within it perform in relation to one another.During your studies you will be firmly rooted in understanding the global supply chain and we’ll provide you a broad knowledge of the principles and concepts underlying the strategic and operational performance of organisations in relation to one another within the international supply chain. You’ll build on your practical skills by analysing realistic data to explore the questions you might confront in an operations role and in a global supply chain environment.In your third semester, you will choose an experiential project. With the opportunity to use your skills in a real-world setting, you can choose from completing a consultancy experience project, an internship experience project, or a business research project.Designed for aspiring leadersThis degree is aimed at students with either no background in business and management who want to develop a career in this field, or those who have a qualification in business and management but want to become more competitive and progress their careers.This course has Dual Award status with the Chartered Management Institute, which means you can graduate with a Masters degree and a CMI qualification in Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership.AssessmentsA range of assessment methods are used across the course, the choice of which reflects the needs and demands of the different types of module. Some modules will assess the ability to work collaboratively in a team and others will assess individual capability. For students from Sri Lanka
Student need to hold Sri Lankan Degree at Second Class Lower, 50% or GPA 2.7 for 2:2 and Second Class Upper for 2:1 for entry to masters courses. IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.Students will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above). All applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to the subject they wish to study and should demonstrate how their chosen programme of study will benefit them in their future career. One academic reference is required. For 1-year Masters students will need a 6.5 grade overall with minimum of 5.5 in each component. For 2-year Masters they will need a 6.5 grade overall with a minimum of 6.0 in speaking and listening, and 5.5 in reading and writing. TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 81 with at least 10 Reading, 9 Listening, 17 Speaking, 19 Writing.
For international students
IELTS (Academic only) - 7.0 (or better) (no component lower than 7.0); TOEFL (paper based) - 600 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 250 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) - 95 (or better) (with 22 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 65 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 65); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE - Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE)/ 185 or above. No less than 185 in each skill.
