Overview of the course


As technology develops, the need for globally-minded and technically savvy creatives is growing. This course will enable open-minded and ambitious students to explore the boundaries of creative technology, through collaborative work.Our MA and MSc students learn alongside one another, developing your ability to engage with interrelated areas, to propose innovative and exciting solutions to problems that push the boundaries of the creative use of technology. You’ll engage with contemporary research, and, using our industry-standard facilities, develop your own in-depth research project that explores your area of interest.Why study this course?Benefit from small study groups with a dedicated postgraduate academic team. Your course leader will work closely with you to help develop your unique personal project, supported by a framework of taught content to extend your knowledge and understanding of creative technologies research.We can support those students returning to education after a significant break, or pursuing study for the first time.Benefit from our partnership with Nottingham Trent University. You'll have full student access to NTU facilities including Boots Library at the City Campus, as well as membership to the Students' Union.Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies belongs to the Confetti Media Group, a group of commercial creative businesses. You’ll be learning in a creative and professional environment, with the opportunity to immerse yourself within the businesses of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter, cultivating networking and collaborative opportunities.


Entry requirements


For students from Sri Lanka

Student need to hold Sri Lankan Degree at Second Class Lower, 50% or GPA 2.7 for 2:2 and Second Class Upper for 2:1 for entry to masters courses. IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

For international students

IELTS (Academic only) - 7.0 (or better) (no component lower than 7.0); TOEFL (paper based) - 600 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 250 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) - 95 (or better) (with 22 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 65 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 65); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE - Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE)/ 185 or above. No less than 185 in each skill.
